Wednesday was a great day for Nolan Dempsey, as he clubbed three home runs to carry the Nevada Big Horns (10-15) to a 14-2 victory over the Atwater Aviators (12-13) at Golden Eagle Park in five innings.
Dempsey racked up nine RBIs on three hits for the Nevada Big Horns. He homered in the second, third, and fourth innings.
Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the Nevada Big Horns to easily put away the Atwater Aviators. A two-run home run by Scott Dwyer in the first inning and a three-run home run by Dempsey during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Nevada Big Horns.
Nick Simonian recorded his third win of the year for the Nevada Big Horns. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered four hits.
Joseph Brazil was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
