A superb effort by Grant St. Martin lifted the Top Speed Baseball (11-0) to a 13-6 win in seven innings over the Nevada Big Horns (4-7) on Tuesday at Golden Eagle Park.
St. Martin rocked the Nevada Big Horns with two home runs. St. Martin went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and three runs scored. St. Martin homered in the sixth and seventh innings.
Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Top Speed Baseball to easily put away the Nevada Big Horns. An error, a sacrifice fly by Cesar Rodriguez, an RBI double by St. Martin, and during the first inning and a solo home run by Patrick ODonnell, an RBI single by Rodriguez, , and a sacrifice fly by Robert Berning in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Top Speed Baseball.
Justin Mannens did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Nevada Big Horns, reaching base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Chrit Rudkin got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered five hits.
Joey Krug (2-1) took the loss for the Nevada Big Horns. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
