Bell helps the Joliet Slammers down the River City Rascals 7-4

Carter Bell had two extra base hits, helping the Joliet Slammers (25-17) to a 7-4 victory over the River City Rascals (20-20) on Thursday at CarShield Field.

He homered in the second inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the eighth innings.

Robby Enslen racked up two RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals. He homered in the fourth inning.

Spencer Medick improved to 5-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. He allowed four runs over 8 1/3 innings. Medick struck out six, walked two and gave up 11 hits.

Zeb Sneed (2-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

The Joliet Slammers were sparked by Jake Gronsky and Bell, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
