Early lead gives the San Francisco Seagulls easy victory over the South Bay Storm, 10-2

The San Francisco Seagulls (30-18) shut the door early on the South Bay Storm (24-22), capturing a 10-2 victory on Wednesday at Fairmont Field.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the San Francisco Seagulls to put the game away early.

An RBI single by David Langer and an RBI single by Lance Montano during the first inning and an RBI single by Juan Reina in the second inning supplied the early offense for the San Francisco Seagulls.

Austin Muller paced the San Francisco Seagulls at the plate. Muller went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the third inning.

The San Francisco Seagulls relied on Michael Sweeney to eat up innings en route to the win. Sweeney pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out four.

It was a good day at the plate for the South Bay Storm's Dominic Orlando. Orlando went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Brandon Owens was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked three and struck out one.
