The San Francisco Seagulls get key pinch-hit in 4-2 victory over the Nevada Big Horns

Paul Murray was cold coming off the bench, but Murray warmed up quickly as Murray stroked a key pinch-hit single in the three to lead the San Francisco Seagulls (24-15) to a 4-2 win over the Nevada Big Horns (18-19) on Sunday at Fairmont Field.

With the score tied at one, Murray came to the plate and singled.

Jake Ryan did his best to jumpstart the offense for the San Francisco Seagulls, reaching base three times. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Jared Koenig kept contact to a minimum, striking out 15 the Nevada Big Horns batters. Koenig allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks over seven innings.

Izac Bauer reached base two times in the game for the Nevada Big Horns. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the eighth inning.

Chris Petrosie (4-2) took the loss for the Nevada Big Horns. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
