The San Francisco Seagulls get key pinch-hit in 14-9 victory over the Sacramento Heat

Kai Haake was cold coming off the bench, but Haake warmed up quickly as Haake stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the San Francisco Seagulls (7-2) to a 14-9 win over the Sacramento Heat (3-6) on Saturday at Fairmont Field.

With the game scoreless in the first inning Haake came to the plate and singled.

Haake got on base three times in the game for the San Francisco Seagulls. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

The two teams combined for 23 runs and 28 hits, including zero extra base hits. Managers of the two teams seemingly emptied their bullpens in search of the win, as there were six pitchers used in the game.

Austin Muller had two extra-base hits for the San Francisco Seagulls. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.

Nathan Pisciotta recorded his first win of the year for the San Francisco Seagulls. He allowed four runs over 3 2/3 innings. Pisciotta struck out two, walked three and gave up six hits.

Karsten Lee couldn't get it done on the hill for the Sacramento Heat, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.

The San Francisco Seagulls easily handled the Sacramento Heat pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, nine RBIs and 11 runs scored.
