Sterling had two extra-base hits for the San Francisco Seagulls.
The Sacramento Heat had no answer for Sid Warrenbrand, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Sacramento Heat managed just one hit off of the the San Francisco Seagulls' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his three innings of work.
Marcus Wilhite paced the Sacramento Heat at the plate. Wilhite went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
