The Palm Springs Power take out the Palm Desert Coyotes with help from Zaks, 5-1

Trent Zaks went 2-3, sparking the Palm Springs Power (6-5) to a 5-1 victory in seven innings over the Palm Desert Coyotes (5-6) on Friday at Palm Springs Turf Field.

He singled in the first and fourth innings.

Julian Esquibel's six strikeouts helped the Palm Springs Power to the victory. Esquibel allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks over five innings.

Kade Andrus was solid at the plate for the Palm Desert Coyotes. Andrus went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the first and third innings.

Josh Daniels (2-2) took the loss for the Palm Desert Coyotes. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
