The Top Speed Baseball top the California Bees behind Miguel's 3 hits, 16-2

An exceptional effort by Chris Miguel led the Top Speed Baseball (41-4) to a 16-2 win in seven innings over the California Bees (14-26) on Saturday at Drake High.

Miguel racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the third inning and homered in the first and sixth innings.

Nine runs in the opening three innings allowed the Top Speed Baseball to easily put away the California Bees. A two-run home run by Miguel in the first inning and an RBI single by Mitch Guilmette and a fielder's choice during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Top Speed Baseball.

Mario Morales racked up 11 strikeouts in the the Top Speed Baseball win. Morales allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Sam Davison racked up two RBIs on one hit for the California Bees. He homered in the first inning.

Chris Norman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the California Bees, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out none.

The Top Speed Baseball easily handled the California Bees pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
