Alex Alders went 3-3 at the plate, sparking the Medicine Hat Mavericks (30-16) to a 3-2 victory in seven innings over the Edmonton Prospects (21-24) on Wednesday at Athletic Park.

He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Joshua Garcia improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Jacob Pries was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
