The Edmonton Prospects (14-15) took home a 13-4 victory over the Medicine Hat Mavericks (23-6) on Wednesday at Athletic Park, fueled by five runs in the seventh inning.
The Edmonton Prospects scored in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Pat Van den Brink, a two-run single by Nick Spillman, an RBI double by Jordan Zazulak, a groundout by Colin Kreiter, and a single by Kody Funderburk.
Noah Hill was solid at the plate for the Edmonton Prospects. Hill went 4-5, drove in one and scored four runs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.
Erik Sabrowski got the win for the Edmonton Prospects thanks to nine strikeouts. Sabrowski allowed two earned runs, three hits and four walks over six innings.
Greg Turner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
