An outstanding effort by Greg Turner carried the Medicine Hat Mavericks (21-3) to a 2-1 win over the Swift Current Indians (17-7) on Friday at Athletic Park.

Turner picked up the win for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. Turner allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out three over nine innings of work.

A walk-off sacrifice fly by Logan Bima gave the Medicine Hat Mavericks the win.

Bima led the Medicine Hat Mavericks' offensive threat, as he got on base one time in the game. He also drove in one runner.

It was a good day at the plate for the Medicine Hat Mavericks' Alex Alders. Alders went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Bobby St. Pierre pitched 8 1/3 innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out two.

St. Pierre (5-1) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians.
