The Brooks Bombers (5-17) couldn't capitalize on a great day from Jordan Hackett on Tuesday, losing 1-0 to the Weyburn Beavers (12-11) at Elks Stadium.
Hackett handled the Weyburn Beavers' lineup with ease, racking up 10 strikeouts. Hackett allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk over 7 2/3 innings.
Zach Frazier was hot from the plate for the Weyburn Beavers. Frazier went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Eric Morell improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Weyburn Beavers. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered four hits.
Hackett (1-2) took the loss for the Brooks Bombers.
