Nathan Lainhart kept the Brooks Bombers (1-4) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Lethbridge Bulls (4-1) beat the Brooks Bombers, 6-2.
Lainhart allowed six hits, no walks and struck out six.
Travis Steinke put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Lethbridge Bulls. He doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the third and seventh innings, and homered in the ninth inning.
Dynas Doud had a hot bat for the Brooks Bombers. Doud went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings and homered in the ninth inning.
Nick Stobbe was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
The Lethbridge Bulls were sparked by Mitch Dornblut and Steinke, who teamed up for six hits and four RBIs.
