Luke Robinson went 2-4, sparking the D.C. Grays (1-2) to an 8-4 victory over the Rockville Express (1-3) on Thursday at Washington Nationals Academy.

The Rockville Express couldn't get anything going as long as Jacob Erikson was pitching. Erikson held the Rockville Express hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Corey Howard put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Rockville Express. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Kyle Dominy pitched lights out for the Rockville Express. The D.C. Grays managed just one hit off of Dominy, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

David Giusti improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the D.C. Grays. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Zach Thompson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
