Trey Martinez boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Gaithersburg Giants. He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.
Martin Costes had a hot bat for the Baltimore Redbirds. Costes went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.
Jacob Potock recorded his first win of the year for the Gaithersburg Giants. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered one hit.
Culver Hughes ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
