Jurgella helps the Washington Blue Sox down the Canada A's 2-0

The Washington Blue Sox (3-6) beat the Canada A's (6-3) 2-0 in seven innings on Monday at Palm Springs Turf Field behind Michael Jurgella, who went 1-3 and hit a home run.

He homered in the fourth inning.

The Canada A's had no answer for Brandon Boyle, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Boyle held the Canada A's hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Colben McGuire pitched lights out for the Canada A's. The Washington Blue Sox managed just one hit off of McGuire, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Kevin Nutley improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Washington Blue Sox. Nutley struck out three, walked three and gave up two hits.

Stephen Butt (1-1) took the loss for the Canada A's. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
