Nicholas Zaharion went 1-3 and hit a home run, helping the Midwest Haymakers (3-5) to a 4-1 victory over the Palm Springs Chill (5-2) on Sunday at Palm Springs Turf Field.

Kawagashi Haruki brought the heat against the Palm Springs Chill during his outing. The Palm Springs Chill managed just one hit off of Haruki, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Juan Bueno was solid at the plate for the Palm Springs Chill. Bueno went 2-3. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Michael Nannini put together a nice outing. The Midwest Haymakers managed just one hit off of the the Palm Springs Chill's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Brian OKeefe (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
