The Carolina Vipers outdone by Hanes and the SBA Bones, 2-1

The SBA Bones (28-12) beat the Carolina Vipers (23-15) 2-1 in seven innings on Friday at Charlotte Christian behind Malachi Hanes, who went 2-2 and hit a home run.

He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

The Carolina Vipers had no answer for Trevin Eubanks, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Carolina Vipers managed just one hit off of Eubanks, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Gage Hinson recorded his fourth win of the year for the SBA Bones. He allowed one run over three innings. Hinson struck out three, walked one and gave up three hits.

Maustin Otterstatter (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
