Sam Sustersic went 2-4, sparking the Piedmont Pride (26-6) to a 6-2 victory over the Carolina Vipers (20-10) on Monday at Winthrop University.
He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.Jason Goe picked up the win for the Piedmont Pride. Goe pitched five innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out two.
Bowe Behymer had two extra-base hits for the Carolina Vipers. He tripled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
