The Carolina Vipers (19-8) and the Lake Norman Copperheads (9-18) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Carolina Vipers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-4 win at Charlotte Latin.
Brian Moore was hot from the plate for the Lake Norman Copperheads. Moore went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Tyler Henry recorded his fifth win of the year for the Carolina Vipers. He allowed four runs over five innings. Henry struck out four, walked none and gave up eight hits.
Kellen McCoy (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked five and struck out two.
