The Concord Weavers (10-24) didn't stand a chance on Friday, as the Piedmont Pride (28-7) captured a blowout 7-1 win in seven innings at Winthrop University.

The Piedmont Pride scored three runs in the fifth on the Piedmont Pride scored in the fifth on a two-run double by Sam Sustersic and a solo home run by Chandler Redmond.

Redmond racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Piedmont Pride.

Ryan Huey had an impressive outing against the Concord Weavers' lineup. The Concord Weavers managed just two hits off of Huey, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his six innings of work.

McLane (0-1) took the loss for the Concord Weavers. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out seven.
