The Concord Weavers (4-9) jumped on the Team Charlotte (3-11) early on their way to a 6-2 win on Saturday at Concord HS in seven innings, scoring four runs in the first inning.

The Concord Weavers scored in the first on an RBI single by Shawn Parsons, an RBI double by Jackson Massey, a groundout by Matthew Freeman, and an RBI single by Nick Weston.

It was a good day at the plate for the Concord Weavers' Weston. Weston went 2-3 and scored one run.

The Team Charlotte's lineup had no answer for Kyle Kadlub. The Team Charlotte managed just two hits off of the the Concord Weavers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his four innings of work.

The Concord Weavers couldn't get anything going as long as Jacob Ruettgers was pitching. Ruettgers held the Concord Weavers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Garrett Leonard couldn't get it done on the mound for the Team Charlotte, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked five and struck out three.
