The Carolina Vipers offense too much for the Team Charlotte in 12-1 rout

The Carolina Vipers (9-3) jumped out to an early lead on the Team Charlotte (3-8) and captured a 12-1 victory on Wednesday at Charlotte Latin.

Twelve runs in the first three innings allowed the Carolina Vipers to put the game away early.

A groundout by Tommy Bullock, a two-run double by Eddie Hull, and an RBI single by Alex Baratta in the first inning and an RBI single by Justin Kunz, a two-run single by Andrew Llewellyn, an RBI single by Grayson Miller, and a sacrifice fly by Chris Clary during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Carolina Vipers.

The Carolina Vipers' Baratta was perfect at the dish, going 3-3.

Cameron Hudson-Marshall paced the Team Charlotte at the plate. Hudson-Marshall went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

RJ Merli improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Carolina Vipers. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Darrell Render (0-2) took the loss for the Team Charlotte. He allowed nine runs in two innings, walked four and struck out none.
