The Lake Norman Copperheads (3-6) and the Team Charlotte (3-5) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Lake Norman Copperheads capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-6 win at Hough High School.

Riley Smith paced the Lake Norman Copperheads at the plate. Smith went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Eric Whitecavage pitched lights out for the Lake Norman Copperheads. The Team Charlotte managed just one hit off of the the Lake Norman Copperheads' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Team Charlotte's Matthew Reitz dominated the Lake Norman Copperheads' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.

Tanner Mann-Fix (0-1) took the loss for the Team Charlotte. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
