Brock Beeler went 2-3, helping the Piedmont Pride (5-1) to a 5-1 victory over the Carolina Vipers (5-2) on Friday at Winthrop University.
He singled in the second and fourth innings.Jason Goe pitched lights out for the Piedmont Pride. The Carolina Vipers managed just one hit off of Goe, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.
Mason Belcher (1-1) took the loss for the Carolina Vipers. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
