The Lake Norman Copperheads jump on the Concord Weavers early and coast to 12-1 win

The Lake Norman Copperheads (4-7) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-1 win over the Concord Weavers (2-9) at Hough High School.

The Lake Norman Copperheads scored three runs in the third on the Lake Norman Copperheads scored in the third on a wild pitch and a two-run single by Brandon Odachowski.

Scott Kobos had a hot bat for the Lake Norman Copperheads. Kobos went 4-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Concord Weavers had no answer for Dylan Carpenter, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Carpenter held the Concord Weavers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four.

John Todd improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He allowed one run over six innings. Todd struck out three, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Bradley Dzeskewicz (0-3) took the loss for the Concord Weavers. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked five and struck out one.
