The Lake Norman Copperheads (0-3) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Carolina Vipers (3-0) dominated in a 7-1 win in seven innings at Charlotte Latin.

The Carolina Vipers scored three runs in the sixth on the Carolina Vipers scored in the sixth on an error, an RBI double by Eddie Hull, and a two-run double by Hull.

Chris Clary went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Carolina Vipers. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Mason Belcher racked up three strikeouts in the the Carolina Vipers win. Belcher allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks over five innings.

JD Huggins was solid at the plate for the Lake Norman Copperheads. Huggins went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Trey Sowell couldn't get it done on the bump for the Lake Norman Copperheads, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
