The SBA Bones (2-0) took down the Team Charlotte (1-1) 10-2 on Friday at Charlotte Christian after slamming the Team Charlotte with six runs in the second inning.
The SBA Bones scored in the second on an RBI single by Nick Owens, a three-run double by Ryder Ryan, an RBI single by Malachi Malachi, and an RBI single by Carson White.
Eric Jones put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the SBA Bones. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the third inning.
Jamie Honeycutt Jr. pitched lights out for the SBA Bones. The Team Charlotte managed just one hit off of the the SBA Bones' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Andrew Vaccacio improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the SBA Bones. He allowed one run over three innings. Vaccacio struck out five, walked four and gave up three hits.
Darrell Render ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked five and struck out one.
