The Bay Area Bootleggers (2-1) and the Palm Desert Coyotes (2-2) each put runners in scoring position on Sunday, but the Bay Area Bootleggers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 5-0 win at Palm Springs Stadium.

Clay Ragland got on base three times in the game for the Bay Area Bootleggers. He also drove in one runner. He tripled in the fourth innings.

The Palm Desert Coyotes couldn't get anything going as long as Matthew Eshleman was pitching. The Palm Desert Coyotes managed just three hits off of the the Bay Area Bootleggers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Andrew Welwerts ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked six, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
