The New York Colonials (3-0) beat the Washington Blue Sox (0-4) 7-3 in seven innings on Saturday at Palm Springs Turf Field behind Joe Jensen, who collected three hits.

He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Landon Hunt baffled the Washington Blue Sox, striking out 10 batters. Hunt allowed one earned run, two hits and no walks over four innings.

Zach Sacoman got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered three hits.
