Mason Morioka went 1-1 as the New York Colonials (4-0) took home a 5-1 victory over the Bay Area Bootleggers (2-2) in seven innings at Palm Springs Turf Field on Thursday.

He singled in the second inning.

Hector Cedano pitched lights out for the New York Colonials. The Bay Area Bootleggers managed just one hit off of the the New York Colonials' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his three innings of work.

A bright spot for the Bay Area Bootleggers in the defeat was Ben Allison, who allowed only one run while striking out five.
