Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Lower Columbia (14-4) outscored the Blue Mountain (4-20) 16-8 in six innings.
The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.
Seven runs in the first three innings helped the Lower Columbia blow out the Blue Mountain. A two-run home run by Hannah Rothwell in the first inning and during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Lower Columbia.
Bailey Hockett racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Lower Columbia. He homered in the third inning and singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
Krystina Fischer brought the heat against the Blue Mountain during his outing. The Blue Mountain managed just two hits off of the the Lower Columbia's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Mary Jane Reser was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked none and struck out none.
The Lower Columbia hammered the Blue Mountain pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
