Max Homick kept the Gateway Grizzlies (15-20) off the board during his six innings of work and the Normal CornBelters (15-19) beat the Gateway Grizzlies, 3-1.

Homick allowed three hits, two walks and struck out five.

Aaron Dudley went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Normal CornBelters. He singled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Vincent Molesky was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Normal CornBelters batters and allowing one run.

Molesky ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
