The Springfield Sliders (27-14) and the DuPage Drones (22-19) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Springfield Sliders that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-5 win at Robin Roberts Field.

Nick Maton racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Springfield Sliders. He singled in the second, third, and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

The DuPage Drones couldn't get anything going as long as Andrew Quinn was pitching. The DuPage Drones managed just one hit off of Quinn, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Brad Hartman paced the DuPage Drones at the plate. Hartman went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the second, fourth, and ninth innings.

Joe Palasiewicz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
