Friday was a great day for Trevor Foss, as Foss tossed a shutout to carry the Washington Wild Things (16-14) to a 3-0 victory over the Windy City ThunderBolts at CONSOL Energy Park.

Foss held the Windy City ThunderBolts (19-12) scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on three hits while striking out five.

David Popkins was hot from the plate for the Washington Wild Things. Popkins went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Ryan Strombom was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
