The Gateway Grizzlies (10-16) beat the Normal CornBelters (9-16) 6-3 on Friday at GCS Ballpark behind Seth Heck, who went 3-3 at the plate.
He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.Nate Carter improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He allowed one run over one inning. Carter struck out none, walked two and gave up one hit.
Eddie Cody (1-1) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
