Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Joliet Slammers (20-14) and the Traverse City Beach Bums (10-23), as the two teams put up 22 runs combined in a 12-10 the Joliet Slammers win.

The two teams combined for 17 hits in the game.

Jake Gronsky racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Joliet Slammers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

The Traverse City Beach Bums had no answer for Brent Choban, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Traverse City Beach Bums managed just one hit off of the the Joliet Slammers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Benjamin Libuda was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
