Ino Patron collected three hits, helping the Schaumburg Boomers (9-14) to a 2-1 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (8-14) on Wednesday at Wuerfel Park.

Gunnar Kines pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk while striking out four.

A bright spot for the Traverse City Beach Bums in the defeat was Kramer Champlin, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Dexter Price improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. Price struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Andrew Brockett was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
