The Windy City ThunderBolts (13-3) beat the Southern Illinois Miners (8-7) 13-4 on Tuesday at Standard Bank Stadium after a seven-run explosion in the seventh inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Coco Johnson, an RBI single by Johnson, an RBI single by Blair Beck, a two-run single by Ransom LaLonde, and a three-run double by Johnny Eierman.

Eierman racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts.

The Southern Illinois Miners had no answer for Tyler Murphy, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Southern Illinois Miners managed just one hit off of Murphy, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Steve Marino racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.
