The Schaumburg Boomers (2-9) beat the Joliet Slammers (7-5) 5-2 on Tuesday at Silver Cross Field behind Chris Robinson, who went 1-2.

Seth Webster struck out seven hitters en route to the the Schaumburg Boomers win. Webster allowed two earned runs on eight hits and one walk over seven innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Joliet Slammers' Boo Vazquez. Vazquez went 2-4 and scored one run. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Tyler Levine had an impressive outing against the Schaumburg Boomers' lineup. Levine held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Sean Townsley (0-1) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
