The bats were busy at CarShield Field on Saturday, and when the dust cleared the River City Rascals (5-3) had an 11-8 win over the Gateway Grizzlies (4-5).

The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.

Robby Enslen had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning, homered in the fourth inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Craig Massoni racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Jason Ziegler improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered five hits.

Sasha Kuebel was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The River City Rascals pounded the Gateway Grizzlies pitching, as six hitters combined for 16 hits, eight RBIs and eight runs scored.
