Corey Bass went 4-4 at the plate, helping the Windy City ThunderBolts (4-1) to a 6-3 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (1-3) on Tuesday at Standard Bank Stadium.

Jose Vargas was solid at the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Vargas went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

Ryan Strombom recorded his first win of the year for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He allowed three runs over five innings. Strombom struck out six, walked two and gave up eight hits.

Jacob Lanning (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
