An RBI single by Dillon Haupt, , a two-run single by Dylan Kelly, and an RBI single by Ty Morris in the first inning and a two-run double by Haupt, an RBI single by RJ Perucki, and a sacrifice fly by Kelly during the second inning fueled the Normal CornBelters' offense early.Haupt racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Normal CornBelters.
The Joliet Slammers couldn't get anything going as long as Max Homick was pitching. The Joliet Slammers managed just three hits off of Homick, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.
