Bryan Haar hit two home runs as the Washington Wild Things (2-1) took home an 8-6 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (1-2) at GCS Ballpark on Sunday.

He homered in the fourth inning.

A bright spot for the Gateway Grizzlies in the defeat was Dakota Smith, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Tyler Tewell had two extra-base hits for the Gateway Grizzlies. He doubled in the seventh inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Chase Cunningham got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. Cunningham struck out one, walked none and gave up six hits.

Sasha Kuebel (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
