The Lake Erie Crushers (1-0) and the River City Rascals (0-1) each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but the Lake Erie Crushers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-5 win at All Pro Freight Stadium.

Connor Oliver had two extra-base hits for the Lake Erie Crushers. He doubled in the first and fourth innings.

The River City Rascals' lineup had no answer for Kolby Moore. Moore held the River City Rascals hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Josh Silver reached base three times. He singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Mike Devine recorded his first win of the year for the Lake Erie Crushers. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Joe Scanio (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out three.

The Lake Erie Crushers were sparked by Parks Jordan and Oliver, who teamed up for three hits and three RBIs.
