The Xenia Scouts (5-6) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-2 to the Licking County Settlers (4-8) on Friday.

A groundout by Hunter Nance gave the Licking County Settlers the lead in the fourth inning.

Jason Moore had a hot bat for the Licking County Settlers. Moore went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings.

Cody Maw kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Xenia Scouts batters. Maw allowed two earned runs on six hits and no walks over six innings.

Nick Cecil (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
