The S Ohio Copperheads (18-16) needed 11 innings on Wednesday to take down the Lake Erie Monarchs (15-21) 3-1 at Flat Rock Field.

With the score tied at one,, scoring Tyler Payne.

Ted Williams did his best to jumpstart the offense for the S Ohio Copperheads, reaching base four times. He singled in the first inning.

Tyler Straley struck out eight hitters en route to the the S Ohio Copperheads win. Straley allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks over seven innings.

Blake Benefield had a hot bat for the Lake Erie Monarchs. Benefield went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Kyle Van Hoeck (0-2) took the loss for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
