Both the Grand Lake Mariners (5-0) and the Lake Erie Monarchs (3-4) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Grand Lake Mariners that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 10-5 win at Flat Rock Field.

Noah Sadler reached base four times in the game for the Grand Lake Mariners. He scored four runs and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Matt McConnell brought the heat against the Lake Erie Monarchs during his outing. The Lake Erie Monarchs managed just three hits off of McConnell, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Jimmy Kerr racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He singled in the first, second, and seventh innings.

Robert Zenas couldn't get it done on the mound for the Lake Erie Monarchs, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out four.
