Tuesday was a great day for Bailey Martin, as Martin threw a shutout to carry the Lima Locos (20-9) to a 3-0 victory over the Xenia Scouts (18-10) at Simmons Field.

Martin's 14 strikeouts were enough to push the Lima Locos past the Xenia Scouts. The Lima Locos' pitcher tossed nine innings of shutout ball and allowed only one hit.

Matt Smithwick had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and seventh innings.

Noah Jones couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Xenia Scouts, taking a loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
